Well, this looks vaguely familiar…

I used to feel this way.  2 years out of school, and I finally realized that the only two that matter are the ones on the left.
“Things that I want to do with my life” - the single most important factor.  If you want it, you’re more likely to feel satisfied and happy.
“Things that I’m good at” - let this guide you through the things that interest you.  If you can find a way to channel what you’re good at with things that make you happy, you are more likely to find success.
“Things that my parents want me to do” - Picking what you want to do with an enormous chunk of your time should be made by you - not parents or ANYONE ELSE.
“Things that are considered realistic occupations” - There is no such thing as a “realistic” occupation.  Don’t settle for something boring to you because it seems easy or traditional or *what you’re supposed to do*.  Occupations are actually less rigid than they sometimes seem.

I agree. Parents are great, but you’re the only person you’ll spend your whole life with. You may as well please yourself!

That’s the thing about girls. Every time they do something pretty, even if they’re not much to look at, or even if they’re sort of stupid, you fall half in love with them, and then you never know where the hell you are. Girls. Jesus Christ. They can drive you crazy. They really can. — J. D. Sallinger - The Catcher in the Rye  (via bakerybitch)

this is what heterophobia would look like if it was real. if you believe that heterophobia is a real thing that exists, please watch this because you will see that it simply doesn’t exist, that it never has and never will.

tbh I think everyone should watch this anyway because it’s very clever and very powerful

I, ah.

Everyone needs to see this. I’m over here shaking.
